All services provided by CloudByteHost may be used for lawful purposes only. The following content and activities are strictly prohibited:
- Adult Content: No pornography or sexually explicit material
- Illegal Activities: No online gambling, hacking tools, or illegal services
- Spam: No unsolicited bulk emailing or spamming activities
- Copyright Infringement: No warez, cracks, pirated software, or copyrighted material
- Malicious Content: No phishing sites, malware distribution, or harmful scripts
- Proxy/VPN Services: No anonymous proxy scripts or TOR exit nodes
- IRC Bots: No IRC scripts, bots, or related automated systems
- Misinformation: No fake news or defamatory content
Important: Accounts found in violation of these policies will be suspended immediately. We reserve the right to determine what constitutes acceptable content on our servers.
Customer Conduct Policy
At CloudByteHost, we are committed to providing excellent service and treating all customers with respect and courtesy. We expect the same in return.
Prohibited Behavior Towards Staff:
- Abusive, threatening, or demeaning language
- Harassment of support personnel
- Excessive or unreasonable demands
- Discriminatory or offensive communications
Consequences: If our staff determines that you are engaging in abusive conduct, your account(s) may be suspended. You will receive five (5) days' notice before termination. Refunds will only be issued for the unused portion of pre-paid services.

- Support Tickets: Available 24/7 for non-urgent issues
- Support Method: Online-based support only (no office visits)
- Response Time: We aim to respond to all tickets within 24 hours
Server Resources & Fair Usage
Resource Limits:
- Inodes (Files): All packages have inode/file limits as specified in your plan
- CPU/Memory: Excessive resource usage may require an upgrade to VPS or dedicated hosting
- Bandwidth: While we offer "unlimited" bandwidth, this is subject to fair usage policies
Unlimited Storage & Bandwidth Policy:
Plans offering unlimited storage and bandwidth are intended for standard website hosting, not for:
- Offsite backup or file storage repositories
- File download/archive hosting (where downloads exceed 50% of traffic)
- Image galleries or hosting sites (where graphics exceed 50% of transfers)
- Hosting resources (banners, scripts) for external websites
- Sites with predominantly unlinked files or no HTML documents
Fair Usage Monitoring: We actively monitor shared hosting for resource abuse. Sites exceeding fair usage limits will be required to upgrade to VPS or dedicated hosting.
Data Backup Policy
Critical Information:
- JetBackup Service: Available as an add-on for weekly, daily, or monthly backups
- Server Backups: We maintain backups on our backup servers (99.99% reliable)
- Your Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining your own backups
- No Liability: CloudByteHost does not provide compensation or assume responsibility for any data loss
- Policy Violation: If your account is terminated for policy violations, no data backup will be provided
Account Suspension & Abuse
Immediate Suspension Actions:
Note: Accounts suspended for abuse violations are not eligible for refunds. You agree that you will not request data backups if suspended for terms violations.
Email Usage Policy
Commercial Email Restrictions:
- Unsolicited commercial emails (spam) are strictly prohibited
- Sending messages to more than 5-6 recipients constitutes spamming unless recipients have opted in
- Email is a person-to-person medium, not a broadcast platform
- Mass mailing lists require explicit subscriber consent
Consequences: Spamming violations will result in immediate account suspension or cancellation without refund.

Payment Timeline for Overdue Accounts:
All payments must be made through approved methods. Services will remain suspended until payment is received in full.

Promotion Details: When you purchase an eligible hosting plan, you receive a .COM domain free for the first year. After the first year, you will be charged the regular domain renewal price.

CloudByteHost offers a 99.9% uptime guarantee. This means your web server is guaranteed to be operational 99.9% of the time in any given month. This guarantee excludes scheduled maintenance and issues beyond our control (force majeure events).
Refund Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with our services.
Refund Terms:
- If you're unsatisfied with our service, contact our support team first
- We will attempt to resolve any issues you're experiencing
- If the problem cannot be resolved, you may request a full refund
- Account cancellation must be submitted from the registered email address
- Phone requests for cancellation are not accepted
- Refunds are processed using the original payment method
- Processing time: Within 7 business days
No Refunds For: Accounts suspended or terminated due to policy violations, abuse, or terms of service breaches.
Limitation of Liability
You acknowledge that:
- Web hosting services may be interrupted for reasons beyond CloudByteHost's control
- CloudByteHost's liability is limited to charges paid for services during the period when damages occurred
- CloudByteHost is not liable for special, consequential damages, loss, or injury
- Service interruptions due to maintenance, upgrades, or technical issues do not constitute breach of contract
- You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CloudByteHost and its employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) resulting from:
- Your use of our services
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Violation of any law or regulation
- Content you upload or publish using our services
- Infringement of third-party rights
Changes to Terms
CloudByteHost reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
